The C.I.T. Sizer was designed to perform a final sizing of the product before bagging. It removes small particles from the product, which are discharged into a dust container underneath the sizing screen. The rest of the product is then sent directly to an inspection table for quality assurance or directly to the product's container.
All food contact surfaces are sanitary stainless steel except for the sizing screens which are zinc plated steel. These screens are easily removed and/or replaced through the use of a quick-latch system included on all of Modern Electronics' C.I.T. Sizers. Stainless steel screens may be available upon request.
Product is fed into the C.I.T. Sizer by means of a hopper which can be provided in different sizes. The sizes are a small production hopper, or a five cubic foot hopper each of which has an adjustable door. The adjustable door provides a means to govern the flow onto the feed tray. The speed at which the product flows across the Sizer is also adjustable.
A larger free standing bin can be supplied to hold much larger volumes of product.
